Construction Underway to Expand the Operating Space of the Museum
Construction crews are on site and busy working to transform the remaining 16,000 square feet of unimproved space in our site (referred to as the historic Playland North Bathhouse) into operating space for new exhibits, an expanded makerspace gallery, gift shop, additional restrooms and support staff offices. The project is scheduled for completion in early July. We will maintain normal operating hours throughout construction, with one or two occasions when we may modify our schedule in order to facilitate elements of the project. Watch our website and facebook page for updates. We look forward to growing the Museum and appreciate your support throughout the process!

We are transforming our nearly 100 year old building for full year round use for exhibits and programs

Sheetrock installed to designate new exhibit areas, offices, multi-use classrooms and gift shop

Our gift shop will be a groundbreaking interactive play space in partnership with Melissa & Doug Toys

Building For the Future Gala Raised Funds for the Museum and Celebrated the Expansion and Construction Program
Oh, what a night! We had a great evening celebrating the architectural restoration of the Museum’s full historic landmark site, the first step in increasing our space by threefold to 22,000 square feet. Many thanks to our honorees Corinne Zola, former board president and one of the founders of the Museum and our Westchester County Executive George Latimer (shown in photo); event chairs Regina and David Jansky and Alix and Ruedi Laager; Benefit Committee members; auction donors, our guests, donors, sponsors, and our amazing staff. Check out our photo album HERE

The Building for the Future Gala raised critical funds to support the Museum’s operations, keep admission costs low, add new educational programs and exhibits, and ensure that the Museum remains a vibrant and welcoming environment for all children. And to further help the Museum reach its goals of offering innovative exhibits and programs, an anonymous donor has issued a $50,000 challenge grant to the Museum. Will you help us meet this challenge? Any amount helps, Click HERE

We have many great photos to share - click this photo to see more!
